Two years ago, this delightful cake was recognised with a Great Taste Award! This year, we've made it even better! We've spruced up our spicy apple cake with a mouthwatering layer of buttercream and blackcurrant jam!

The Handmade Cake Company is delighted to announce that, this year, we have won 9 Great Taste Awards! This brings our total number of Great Taste Awards won up to 39, since we first entered the competition in 2003.

OUT NOW, our NEW gluten free Chocolate Cake. A light, gluten free sponge, filled with a layer of chocolate buttercream icing and chocolate chips, topped with more chocolate buttercream icing.

Our product development team have been working hard on some more unusual cakes to complement the classics.

Rumor has it, this crowd-pleasing cake got its name because every bite makes you hum with delight! Originating in the American South, the recipe has been passed down through many generations.
